Sarah Needham was born and raised in Metro Detroit. As a child, she enjoyed spending her time outdoors, reading, and making art. Her passion for creating led her to pursue a degree in studio art at Bob Jones University in SC. In April 2022, she exhibited her work along with five other student artists from her program, and in May she graduated with her BFA in studio art.
After graduating, she moved back to Michigan and began working in the public schools as a substitute teacher. In 2023, she worked as an art teacher at Cranbrook Summer Camps where she taught classes such as drawing, ceramics, printmaking, and bookbinding. She decided to continue her education and pursue her Michigan art teaching certificate at Oakland University. In 2025 she finished her student teaching and received her Michigan teaching certificate. She is currently working in Utica Community Schools as a long-term substitute art teacher. Her goal is to continue to share her passion for creativity and hands-on learning with her students.
